Rain ripples

We had a doozie of a storm the other night. Heavy rain came sideways for an hour or two, along with hail that fortunately wasn't very big. Then it settled into softer rains for most of the night. The next morning Sam had to put sealant around our newly installed air conditioner. It was made for normal rainfall, not the horizontal type!

All the water flow made for some pretty shapes along the road this morning.

I chucked the bigger rocks off to the side so our drive will be smoother. I think the neighbors appreciate it, too!

And finally, some very industrious ants (are there any other kind?) have already made great progress in rebuilding their home.
