It's a new year

Happy New Year! We woke up to another snowstorm this morning and Sam's not sure what to do with his new snow tool. Maybe the instruction manual will help.

We got over an inch and it was on the tree branches and everywhere.

Even on our "yard art".

Since we couldn't work outdoors, we went to Becky and Juan's for lunch, watched a little of the Rose Bowl parade, and worked on a puzzle with Mom. Forgot to take photos!

A couple days ago, our water lines froze a bit, so it was time to wrap the pipes by the well.

It was a cold evening. Sam about froze his fingers, while I was on tape-cutting duty.

Our reward was a pretty sunset shining through the grasses. And water in the house the next morning!

Yesterday, we got a lot more done on the mini-split. We attached the covers on the east end of the house and ran the lines. I forgot to photograph the finished product.

I filled in the dirt around the electric pedestal and tamped it down.

And helped Sam get the coils of copper tubing under the little house. We'll continue this project in a day or two.

Meanwhile . . . hey, it looks like Sam figured it out!

We hope you have a good holiday and a great start on this new year.
