The past 2 or 3 months have been a lot of work for Pa and Ma, as they have been planning and implementing their move to our ranch. I helped out a bit with county permits, since I'm one of the owners and now work downtown, a few blocks from any county office needed! Since Thanksgiving, Sam put in a LOT of time coordinating utilities and the moving of the park model. A week ago, we were all finally able to come together (Becky & Juan helped, too) and move Pa & Ma into their new little home on the PPR! (They are calling it "the Patch" for short.) Pa even has his own "man cave" on the left.
Within a few weeks, there will be skirting around the bottom, to hide the utilities and tie-downs. Parking is off to one side. This next view is looking northwest from behind the home.
Here's the view looking northeast.
Sam and I took Christmas dinner out yesterday (Dec. 26th) and had a good visit. This is the living room. Pa has been fixing all the little things, and Ma's been decorating! She eventually wants to paint the walls and trim and get a little color in there!
To the left is the kitchen and dining area.
Then a short hallway (with a handsome guy blocking the view!), and the bathroom on the right. Back door on the left.
The bedroom is at the back, with 2 nice big windows, 2 big closets and many shelves, but I couldn't get the photo to go into portrait mode. This is the view from their new living room!
We all still have a lot of work ahead. A big patio roof was included with the home, which will be installed soon, although Pa & Ma don't want to completely block the view. Eventually they want to build some kind of deck, as well as landscape the yard a bit and make a nicer parking area. They love having projects! For now, they are really enjoying the peace and quiet . . . and no rent! :o)
